Club Director & 15-navy head coach
Coach Robinson played volleyball at Baker University from 2000-2003, where she was named an All-American libero and Academic All-American, in addition to multiple all-conference and all-region teams. She coached at Barton County Community College in 2007-2008, when the team finished 8th at the NJCAA Tournament. Coach Robinson has coached at Washburn Rural and Kapaun Mt. Carmel high schools, as well as for a variety of clubs for a combined 22 seasons. This will be her 10th season as club director.
Coach Nazaran has played doubles sand volleyball, and has been involved in the Wichita volleyball community for years. He has coached club for more than 20 years, for a variety of clubs, including Shocker, Fiest and Xesspress. Coach Nazaran also coached at Collegiate and Wichita North. At North, his team won the City League and finished third at state. He was also named GWAL Coach of the Year twice. He is also currently doing individual sand training and coaching at Kapaun Mt. Carmel. This is his second year with Wichita Legacy.
Coach Foster has been playing volleyball since 3rd grade, and played competitively in school, summer, and club volleyball seasons up until her senior year. Her club team tended to play in higher level/age tournaments, placing in almost every one. Andrea is primarily a setter, but loves to hit as well. This year she will be entering into her fourth year of coaching club volleyball.
Coach Heimerman is from Conway Springs, Kan. She played middle hitter at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College from 2018-2020, then transferred to Southwestern Christian University, and played from 2020-2022, where she was team captain. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science, summa cum laude. She has played competitive volleyball for 10 years and this will be her second year coaching at Wichita Legacy. She also coaches at Andover Middle School.
16-navy head coach
Coach Harrod has spent the last 29 years coaching athletes, aged 8-18. Her greatest passion and enthusiasm lie within the sport of volleyball where she's spent 11 years coaching at both Maize and Maize South high schools. This year will be her fifth coaching club volleyball.
16-navy assistant coach
Coach Dawson played volleyball at Sterling College from 2013-2016. She was a four-year varsity starter and earned the Champion of Character award during her collegiate career. Coach Dawson previously coached at Conway Springs High School and Maize South, and she is currently coaching at Bishop Carroll. She has coached high school for five years, and is in her eighth year of coaching club.
16-orange head coach
Coach Sexson played volleyball at Andover High School, earning a 4A State Championship her senior year, as a setter. She played as a middle hitter at Bethany College. She has coached club volleyball for two seasons previously, and is looking forward to getting back into it. This is Coach Sexson's first year with Legacy.
15-navy assistant coach
Coach Lies has played volleyball competitively for 8 years. She attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School where she was named first-team All City hitter. She went on to play and manage at Butler Community College. She has played at multiple clubs, and has previous club coaching experience. This is her third year with Wichita Legacy.
15-orange head coach
Coach Austin started playing club volleyball in 6th grade and is a Rose Hill High School alumnae. She has spent the past five years coaching athletes of all ages and competition levels. She was most recently the head coach at Conway Springs High School. Coach Austin's passion is developing girls in becoming the best versions of themselves both on and off the court. She recently completed her Master's Degree in Education and is a high school business teacher. This will be her fourth year of coaching club volleyball.
15-orange assistant coach
Coach Kennard graduated from Conway Springs High School and attends Crave Beauty Academy to become a Paramedical Esthetician. She played volleyball all throughout high school and club ball for Legacy. Due to knee injuries, her volleyball career ended her senior year. This allowed her to do stats and help manage the team for Coach Austin. Her goal as a coach is to push players to be confident, resilient, and hardworking, both on and off the court.
14-navy co-head coach
Coach Jaso played volleyball at Bethel College from 2004-2007, where she was named NAIA All-Region IV and part of the KCAC All-Academic team. She was the head freshmen coach at Newton High School from 2008-2011 and the JV coach at Maize South High from 2018-2020. Coach Jaso currently teaches at Maize South High. This will be her second season with Wichita Legacy.
14-navy co-head coach
Coach Larson played volleyball at Fort Hays State University from 2008-2010. Lindsey has coached for a variety of clubs for a combined 7 years, assisted with numerous clinics, and provided individual lessons in Hays and the Wichita area. Coach Larson just completed her Graduate's Degree in Social Work and is excited for her second year coaching at Legacy.
14-orange head coach
Coach Scott played volleyball at Friends University during her collegiate career. After coaching for two years at Kapaun Mt. Carmel, she was an assistant coach at Friends University for three seasons. She is currently the head coach at Kapaun. This is her eighth year of coaching club volleyball.
14-orange assistant coach
Tessa Lies played volleyball at Bethel College, and at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. This is her first year with Legacy.
14-teal head coach
Coach Dalian is currently a freshman at Butler Community College. She has played club for Shockwave, Legacy, and River City Rage for six years and has been playing volleyball for 10 years, before a career-ending injury. This is her fourth year coaching with Legacy.
13-navy head coach
Coach Hessman coached at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School for 20 years, in addition to leading youth summer camps and conditioning. Hessman has more than 500 career wins and has coached more than 30 athletes who obtained college scholarships for volleyball. She has also coached club volleyball for the past 11 years.
13-navy assistant coach
Coach Strecker played volleyball at Trinity Catholic High School and club volleyball for Salt City Smash and Shockwave for nine years. She is currently playing at Friends University. She has helped with numerous grade school and middle school volleyball camps, and this is her fourth year coaching club.
13-orange head coach
Coach Johnson is from Wichita. She began playing competitive club volleyball when she was 10 years old and has had a passion for it ever since. After originally going to a small private middle school, Madison sought out a more competitive arena and transferred to play volleyball and basketball at Goddard High School. While she was unable to play for her school her last two seasons due to health concerns, she was able to play a final club season that ended with multiple college offers for DS/Libero. She ultimately decided to be a full-time student at Wichita State University while managing to get her hands on a volleyball no matter if the court was made of wood or sand. Coach Johnson is in her second year with Wichita Legacy.
13-orange assistant coach
Coach Nice is from Wichita where she played competitively for seven years. She played for Heartland and Shockwave clubs prior to playing at Southwestern College. This is her third season coaching club.
12-navy head coach
Coach Treft played volleyball at Friends University where she was a Champion of Character for two years and on the AD's Honor Roll for three. She is currently a behavior specialist at Heartspring. This is her ninth year coaching club volleyball.
12-navy assistant coach
Coach Henning is currently playing volleyball at Newman University. She played at Derby and for Wichita Legacy as a setter. This is her second season as an assistant for Legacy.
12-orange head coach
Coach Cass played volleyball for Wichita Legacy for seven years, and was the volleyball manager at Pittsburg State for three years. She has helped with numerous clinics, camps and open gyms for the last five years. This is her third year coaching with Legacy.
12-orange assistant coach
Coach Puckett played volleyball at Augusta High School and for her summer school team for three years. She graduated from Butler Community College and is now attending Wichita State to get her degree in elementary education. She is also a para at Ewalt Elementary School. This is her first year coaching club volleyball.
