Elaine Robinson, club director, 17-1 head coach
Coach Robinson played volleyball at Baker University from 2000-2003, where she was named an All-American libero and Academic All-American, in addition to multiple all-conference and all-region teams. She coached at Barton County Community College in 2007-2008, when the team finished 8th at the NJCAA Tournament.
Coach Robinson has coached at Washburn Rural and Kapaun Mt. Carmel high schools, as well as for a variety of clubs for a combined 21 seasons. This will be her ninth season as club director.
Karissa Nighswonger, 11-1 coach
Coach Nighswonger played at Cowley County for two seasons, before transferring to Missouri Western in St. Joseph, Missouri. She coached the Douglass freshman team to an undefeated season in 2006, and is in her second year as a club coach.
Robyn Jaso, 12-1 head coach
Coach Jaso played volleyball at Bethel College from 2004-2007, where she was named NAIA All-Region IV and part of the KCAC All-Academic team. She was the head freshmen coach at Newton High School from 2008-2011 and the JV coach at Maize South High from 2018-2020. Coach Jaso currently teaches at Maize South High.
Lindsey Larson, 12-1 assistant coach
Coach Larson played volleyball at Fort Hays State University from 2008-2010. Lindsey has coached for a variety of clubs for a combined 6 years, assisted with numerous clinics, and provided individual lessons in Hays and the Wichita area. Coach Larson just completed her Graduate's Degree in Social Work and is excited to return to coaching.

Jennifer Pickler, 13-2 head coach
Coach Pickler is from Amarillo, Texas, where she played club volleyball and club soccer growing up. Ultimately, she chose to play soccer in college, which brought her to Wichita in 2004 to play at Newman University. She has coached soccer and volleyball at various levels on and off over the years. Most recently, coaching the freshman volleyball team at Northwest High School. Overall, she has 10 years of coaching experience. This will be her first year coaching club volleyball.
Joellia Thomas, 13-2 assistant coach
Coach Thomas played competitively for 7 years growing up, and is from Rose Hill. She is in her second year of coaching.
Taryn Scott, 14-1 coach
Coach Scott played volleyball at Friends University during her collegiate career. After coaching for two years at Kapaun Mt. Carmel, she was an assistant coach at Friends University for three seasons. She is currently the head coach at Kapaun. This is her sixth year of coaching club volleyball.
Shelby Lewis, 14-2 coach
Coach Lewis played volleyball at Friends University where she was a Champion of Character for two years and on the AD's Honor Roll for three. She is currently a behavior specialist at Heartspring. This is her seventh year coaching club volleyball.
Andrea Foster, 15-1 head coach
Coach Foster has been playing volleyball since 3rd grade, and played competitively in school, summer, and club volleyball seasons up until her senior year. Her club team tended to play in higher level/age tournaments, placing in almost every one. Andrea is primarily a setter, but loves to hit as well. This year she will be entering into her 3rd year of coaching and is extremely excited to be with Wichita Legacy.
Tiana Nice, 15-1 assistant coach
Coach Nice is from Wichita where she played competitively for seven years. She played for Heartland and Shockwave clubs prior to playing at Southwestern College. This is her first season coaching club.
Kelsey Banwart, 15-2 coach

Coach Banwart has been playing volleyball since 4th grade. She played high school volleyball at Andover Central where they went undefeated her senior season, and played for elite club volleyball teams until starting her college career at Wichita State University. Coach Banwart played from 2010-2013 as a DS/Libero. During her career the shockers defeated the University of Kansas, sending the team to its first Sweet 16 appearance & she was Named to the AD’s honor roll in 2011. Coach Banwart has coached for a variety of clubs over the years; this will be her first year coaching with Legacy.
Kaela Wegeng, 16-1 head coach
Coach Wegeng played volleyball at Friends University from 2001-2003, where she was named KCAC Player of the Year and was a three time All-Conference Player. Coach Wegeng continued her love of the game by coaching 6 seasons of club volleyball and one year at North High School. Then, she transitioned her focus to the collegiate level and was the assistant coach for the Newman University volleyball team. Coach Wegeng is in her second year coaching with Wichita Legacy.
Abbra Tallman, 16-1 assistant coach
Coach Tallman played four years at Newman University with All-Conference honors in 2004-2006 (NAIA) and 2007 (NCAA). This will be her second year coaching with Legacy.
Jessica Doerneman, 16-2 coach
Coach Doerneman grew up in Louisiana where she started playing volleyball in 4th grade, and she continued to play school and club volleyball for about 6 years. In high school, her varsity team went to the state tournament all four years, including the state finals twice, winning one of them!
Maddy Strecker, 16-2 assistant coach
Coach Strecker played volleyball at Trinity Cathoic High School and club volleyball for Salt City Smash and Shockwave for nine years. She is currently playing at Friends University. She has helped with numerous grade school and middle school volleyball camps, and this is her second year coaching club.
Whitney (Long) Dawson, 17-2 coach
Coach Dawson played volleyball at Sterling College from 2013-2016. She was a four-year varsity starter and earned the Champion of Character award during her collegiate career. Coach Dawson previously coached at Conway Springs High School, and is currently coaching at Maize South. She has coached high school for four years, and is in her sixth year of coaching club.

Coach Holloway played volleyball at Cowley County Community College where she was named All-American, team captain, national runner-up, and national champion. She went on to play at the University of Central Missouri. This is her first year coaching with Wichita Legacy.
Greta Lies, 18-1 assistant coach
Coach Lies has played volleyball competitively for 8 years. She attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School where she was named first-team All City hitter. She went on to play and manage at Butler Community College. She has played at multiple clubs, and has previous club coaching experience. This is her first year with Wichita Legacy.
Terri Hessman, individuals coach
Coach Hessman coached at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School for 20 years, in addition to leading youth summer camps and conditioning. Hessman has more than 500 career wins and has coached more than 30 athletes who obtained college scholarships. She has also coached club volleyball for the past nine years.
