Club Director, 17-navy head coach
Coach Robinson played volleyball at Baker University from 2000-2003, where she was named an All-American libero and Academic All-American, in addition to multiple all-conference and all-region teams. She coached at Barton County Community College in 2007-2008, when the team finished 8th at the NJCAA Tournament. Coach Robinson has coached at Washburn Rural and Kapaun Mt. Carmel high schools, as well as for a variety of clubs for a combined 23 seasons. This will be her 12th season as club director.
Coach Harrod has spent the last 30 years coaching athletes, aged 8-18. Her greatest passion and enthusiasm lie within the sport of volleyball where she's spent 11 years coaching at both Maize and Maize South high schools. This year will be her seventh coaching club volleyball.
Coach Dawson played volleyball at Sterling College from 2013-2016. She was a four-year varsity starter and earned the Champion of Character award during her collegiate career. Coach Dawson previously coached at Conway Springs High School and Maize South, and she is currently coaching at Bishop Carroll. She has coached high school for seven years, and is in her tenth year of coaching club.
Coach Sexson played volleyball at Andover High School, earning a 4A State Championship her senior year, as a setter. She played as a middle hitter at Bethany College. She has coached club volleyball for two seasons previously, and is looking forward to getting back into it. This is Coach Sexson's fourth year with Legacy.
17-navy assistant coach
Coach Lies has played volleyball competitively for 8 years. She attended Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School where she was named first-team All City hitter. She went on to play and manage at Butler Community College. She has played at multiple clubs, and has previous club coaching experience. This is her fifth year with Wichita Legacy.
17-orange head coach
Coach Dymond has played volleyball competitively for over 10 years. She attended Pratt-Skyline where they were HOPL league champions two years in a row and had three appearances at state volleyball. She also played volleyball & basketball at Bethel College before retiring due to an injury. She is currently one of the assistant coaches at Haven High School. She’s coached club for four years and this will be her second year at Wichita Legacy.
17-orange assistant coach
Coach Dymond has been assisting his wife, Payje, with coaching club for the past couple of years. This will be his second year at Wichita Legacy.
16-navy head coach
Coach Heimerman is from Conway Springs, Kan. She played middle hitter at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College from 2018-2020, then transferred to Southwestern Christian University, and played from 2020-2022, where she was team captain. She graduated with a Bachelor's of Science, summa cum laude. She has played competitive volleyball for 10 years and this will be her fourth year coaching at Wichita Legacy. She also coaches at Andover Middle School.
16-orange head coach
Coach Scott played volleyball at Friends University during her collegiate career. After coaching for two years at Kapaun Mt. Carmel, she was an assistant coach at Friends University for three seasons. This is her tenth year of coaching club volleyball.
16-orange assistant coach
Tessa Lies played volleyball at Bethel College, and at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School. This is her third year with Legacy.
16-teal head coach
Coach Ryno played as a setter and libero at Maize High School. She is currently finishing up her nursing degree at Wichita State University, and works at Wesley Woodlawn as a nurse extern. This will be her third year coaching.
16-teal assistant coach
Coach Le played volleyball at Kapaun Mt. Carmel as a setter and a libero, and was named All-City honorable mention. She currently attends Newman University. She has coached two years with Legacy.
15-navy head coach
Coach Hessman coached at Kapaun Mt. Carmel High School for 20 years, in addition to leading youth summer camps and conditioning. Hessman has more than 500 career wins and has coached more than 30 athletes who obtained college scholarships for volleyball. She has also coached club volleyball for the past 13 years.
15-navy assistant coach
Coach Strecker played volleyball at Trinity Catholic High School and club volleyball for Salt City Smash and Shockwave for nine years. She is currently playing at Friends University. She has helped with numerous grade school and middle school volleyball camps, and this is her sixth year coaching club.
Coach Nice is from Wichita where she played competitively for seven years. She played for Heartland and Shockwave clubs prior to playing at Southwestern College. This is her fourth season coaching club.
14-navy head coach
Coach Treft played volleyball at Friends University where she was a Champion of Character for two years and on the AD's Honor Roll for three. She is currently a behavior specialist at Heartspring. This is her 11th year coaching club volleyball.
14-navy assistant coach
Coach Henning is currently playing volleyball at Newman University. She played at Derby and for Wichita Legacy as a setter. This is her fourth season coaching for Legacy.
14-teal head coach
Coach Kennard graduated from Conway Springs High School and attends Crave Beauty Academy to become a Paramedical Esthetician. She played volleyball all throughout high school and club ball for Legacy. Due to knee injuries, her volleyball career ended her senior year. This allowed her to do stats and help manage the team for Coach Austin. Her goal as a coach is to push players to be confident, resilient, and hardworking, both on and off the court. This is her third year coaching club.
14-teal assistant coach
Coach Curry is from Conway Springs, where she played volleyball for seven years. Her goal is to share her passion with players, helping them build their skills, confidence, and love for the game through teamwork. She hopes to create a supportive, high energy environment where everyone can grow.
12-navy assistant coach
Coach Ziser played volleyball seven years prior to college and is playing at Friends University. She played at Andover High School and for Legacy. This will be her second year coaching.
